Nano-Surfacing Implants
Nano-technology has indeed entered mainstream mainly through the development of better materials that are now evident in dental appliances. New research suggests that having nano-texturing on dental implants does indeed increase healing giving bone tissue a place to grasp onto quicker.
Traditional implants used to be smooth and quite slippery preventing bone growth onto the said material. Nano-texturing or carving grooves into the implant on a nano scale allows better adhesion and faster healing thus less wait for treatment to finish. This allows not only faster healing but better comfort for the dental patient for the treatment period is greatly reduced.
