The dentist checks the patient and recommends possible treatments, discussing it with the patient. Once a consensus has been found and a course of action is taken, the braces are designed and approved by the patient, plans(technical drawings/specifications) of the appliance which is sent to the SureSmile office for manufacture. The design is entered into a computer that tells a robot how much and which what way to bend the dental wires to produce very accurate appliances that takes a lot of time out of the previously manually made braces.
